Earned Expertise
Michael began his career in 2005 in the union — IBEW Local 164, New Jersey's telecommunications division. From day one, he was immersed in the discipline, technical standards, and work ethic that union training demands.
Over two decades, he gained hands-on experience across the full spectrum of commercial low voltage work: structured cabling, access control, security camera systems, A/V integration, and data center buildouts — from ground-up new construction to complex tenant improvements in occupied facilities.
In 2023, he relocated to Sarasota, Florida and founded SRQ Communications — bringing that same union-caliber discipline and technical precision to the rapidly growing commercial construction market of the Tampa–Fort Myers corridor.

Our Journey
IBEW Local 164, New Jersey
Began career in the union through IBEW Local 164's telecommunications division in New Jersey — learning structured cabling, fiber optics, and low voltage systems under the industry's most rigorous training standards.
B.S. Telecommunications — St. John's University
Earned a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from St. John's University, combining formal academic grounding with hands-on union field experience to build a comprehensive command of the discipline.
Commercial Field Experience
Built extensive experience across corporate offices, medical facilities, government buildings, retail fit-outs, aviation hangars, and industrial projects — mastering every phase of commercial low voltage installation from rough-in to final commissioning.
SRQ Communications Founded
Relocated to Sarasota, Florida and founded SRQ Communications to bring union-caliber low voltage expertise to the growing commercial market along the Tampa–Fort Myers corridor.
